Since 1937, the Muskegon Museum of History & Science has made thousands of people imagine, discover and explore history and science through educational programs, hands-on experiences and special events and presentations for all ages!

FAMILY PROGRAMS & EVENTS

Friday Family Fun Nights

Once monthly on Friday

It’s a date night at the museum for the whole family! Join us for extended museum hours with fun stations and themes.

Little Learners: STEAM Play & Learn

2nd & 4th Thursday & 3rd Saturday of each month

This is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4.

YOUTH CAMPS

STEM Workshops

June 20 & 27, 2024

3 STEM Workshops available for students age 8-15 interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Enviroworks

Day camp July 22-26, 2024

A morning day camp for children ages 6-11 to explore the Lakeshore Museum Center and discover various fun science and history topics.

ADULT PROGRAMS & EVENTS

Adults can have fun learning at the Muskegon Museum of History & Science too! Programs designed for the adult audience are often offered to coordinate with both our permanent and temporary museum exhibits. Examples of programs include guest lecturers, history classes and workshops, and special tours both at our museum sites and throughout the Muskegon County community.

Join the museum staff for a historic walking tour of Downtown Muskegon.

Special Speakers

The museum often hosts guest speakers to come discuss various topics related to our permanent and temporary exhibits as well as other topics surrounding Muskegon history.
