Wood You Help Us Stable-ize the City Barn?
As time and weather take their toll, portions of the Hackley & Hume Historic Site’s exterior woodwork and decorative features are showing significant deterioration. Addressing these issues now is essential – not only to preserve their beauty – but also to protect the historic interiors that make these structures so special.
Our Goal: Raise funds for Exterior Carpentry & Painting of a portion of the City Barn (Stable Building). The more funds we raise, the more architectural elements we will be able to replicate!
By investing in Stable-ization today, we help protect the historic interiors tomorrow. A well-maintained exterior serves as the first line of defense against moisture, pests, and structural damage, preserving the collections, finishes, and historic spaces within.
With your help, we can:
- Preserve significant historic architecture and craftsmanship
- Protect historic interiors from weather-related damage
- Prevent costly future repairs through proactive preservation
- Maintain the authenticity, beauty, and integrity of all three buildings
- Ensure these historic treasures can be enjoyed by future generations
