Youth Camps


The Lakeshore Museum Center offers camp opportunities for all ages to engage in and learn more about science and history topics.


Our week-long STEM Camp is back for students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Campers will get hands-on with activities, experiments, demonstrations, and discussion on topics including geology, magnetism, structural architecture, biology and more.Recommended for ages 8-15

$40 for Members
$50 for Non-MembersDates: June 17-21, 2019 | 9am – 12pm each day

A morning day camp for children ages 6-11. Campers will explore the Lakeshore Museum Center and discover various fun science and history topics including Wool Dyeing, Muskegon Civic Theater, Meteorites, and as always, we will end the week with ice cream making!Recommended for ages 6-11.

Dates: One week only, July 22-26, 2019 – 9:15am-11:45am each day.

Location: Museum Center Auditorium, throughout museum, park and sometimes historic sites.

Cost: $40 for museum members, $50 for non-members.

Registration for members begins Monday, May 20th; non-members may register starting Friday, May 24th

STEM Mini-Camp

This two-day minicamp will give children the opportunity to get the first look at the brand new STEM Center and experience what it has to offer. Over the camp children will make airfoils, modify matchbox cars and race them, puzzle through mazes with a robot, and construct structures like bridges.

Recommended for ages 8-13
$15 for Members
$20 for Non-Members
