Visitors are invited to walk along the trail through the park with their leashed, social dogs and learn about the roles of pets during different times is history.
Volunteers from the Muskegon Humane Society will be on hand with adoptable dogs from the shelter that visitors can meet. The volunteers will share information about the shelter’s adoption process and will be on hand all day.
A team from Blessed Dogs LLC will also be on hand. From Noon to 2 pm, they will offer an AKC Canine Good Citizen and AKC Community Canine Test for $5 for visiting dogs.
Free dog biscuits will be provide courtesy of Oceana Veterinary Clinic. Water dishes will be available throughout the park. All dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after their canine friends.
