Member Opening – L’Dor V’Dor: Generations of Muskegon’s Jewish Community

September 29, 2021 @ 6:00 pm

Join us for the opening of our newest exhibit, which celebrates the history of Jews in Muskegon, exemplified by Congregation B’nai Israel, founded in 1888.

Guests will enjoy the first look at the exhibit, as well as light hors d’oeuvres and remarks. Speakers will include Rabbi Alan Alpert, County Commissioner and B’Nai Israel member Bob Scolnik, and LMC Executive Director Melissa Horton.

This event will be held outside under a tent, so please dress accordingly.

RSVP by calling 722-0278 or emailing pat@lakeshoremuseum.org by September 22.

L’Dor V’Dor is a partnership between the Lakeshore MuseumCenter and Congregation B’nai Israel. This exhibition is funded in part by Michigan Humanities, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and received generous support from the Grand Valley State University Kutsche Office of Local History, and members of Congregation B’nai Israel.
