L’Dor V’Dor: Generations of Muskegon’s Jewish Community

This exhibit celebrates the history of Jews in Muskegon, exemplified by Congregation B’nai Israel, which was founded in 1888. We invite visitors to learn about Judaism Congregation B’nai Israel by exploring three major elements of Judaism in daily life: education, religious practice, and family.

Admission is free for Muskegon County residents and Museum members and $5 for non-residents.

This exhibit will be open September 30, 2021-April 23, 2022.

 

L’Dor V’Dor is a partnership between the Lakeshore MuseumCenter and Congregation B’nai Israel. This exhibition is funded in part by Michigan Humanities, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and received generous support from the Grand Valley State University Kutsche Office of Local History, and members of Congregation B’nai Israel.
