“Remediation, Restoration and Revitalization of Muskegon Lake” – Kathy Evans, West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission (WMSRDC)
This program will present an overview of more than a decade of Muskegon Lake cleanup and restoration projects. It will discuss how community partnerships have advanced restoration and the local, state and federal programs that have supported water quality and natural resources improvements.
Presenter Bio:
Kathy Evans is the Environmental Program Manager at the WMSRDC
. The WMSRDC is a regional planning agency with programs in economic development, transportation planning, environmental planning, local government services and homeland security. The Environmental Program focuses on water quality and natural resources improvements, and includes strong community involvement and sustainability components. Kathy has worked in the conservation and natural resources field since the early 1990’s. For the past nine years, Kathy and the WMSRDC environmental program has managed extensive restoration projects to improve fish and wildlife habitat along the Muskegon Lake shoreline and its tributaries.
