Admission is FREE today for all visitors of Michigan’s Heritage Park in Whitehall as part of a special county-wide “Be a Tourist in Your Own Backyard” promotion which 13 local museums are a part of. Also offering free admission today are the Muskegon Heritage Museum, Muskegon Museum of Art, USS Silversides Submarine Museum, USS LST 393 Veterans Museum,and White River Lighthouse. Admission is always free at the Lakeshore Museum Center which is open today from 10 am to 4 pm. Saturday, May 28 is also a special “Be a Tourist in Your Own Backyard” day with other local museums offering free admission.
