March of the Bloodsuckers: Ticks and Their Expansion

April 13, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

Each month at the museum, we will have a specific program dedicated to a different Michigan bloodsucker.

Join Doctor William Miller from Calvin University as he shares his research into one of the smallest and most dangerous bloodsuckers in Michigan, ticks. Dr. Miller will present information on the spread of new tick species into Michigan and how they are tracked, as well as information on how to monitor these creatures to help improve public health and prevent the greater spread of Lyme disease.

Free for County Residents, $5 for out of county.

Out of County tickets can purchased on Eventbrite. https://lakeshoremuseumticks.eventbrite.com
