August Pop-Up Programs: 5th: The Fur Trade 7th: Static Electricity 12th: Michigan From the Depths of Time 19th: Paper Making using recycled paper, $1 Make and Take 24th: Native American Pottery, $1 Make and Take Pinch Pot 26th: A Timeline of Muskegon History

Children are invited to participate in this special activity at Michigan's Heritage Park.  This month's theme is candles.  Participants will learn how candles were used and made and will make their own candle.  For $5 they may take their candle home with them or leave it for use at the park.

Ruth & Max Bloomquist will perform at Michigan's Heritage Park from 2-4pm on Saturday, August 15.   Light refreshments will be served.    Seating is limited - feel free to bring a chair. Learn about the history of producing and preparing food in Michigan. There will be cooking demonstrations at the sites along the trail and recipes for participants to take home to try.
