BUS GRANTS

Help supplement the cost of busing for Muskegon County schools to attend programs at any of the museum’s sites.

INTERN STIPENDS

Help us build an inclusive internship program by offering $1,500 to interns.

AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR

$2,000 per AED

Contribute to the safety of our guests, volunteers and staff. Fund an Automatic External Defibrillator at the following locations: Fire Barn Museum & Scolnik House Site, Archives, and Collections Center.

Sponsor supplies for our STEM Center school programs for all of 2025, making the programs free for Muskegon County Schools.

CRAFT SUPPLIES

$50 covers an entire month of  craft supplies for the weekly hands-on programs held at the museum.

Renewal of Adobe Premier Pro video editing software will allow us to continue developing content for educational videos.

OWL PELLETS

Each $40 donation provides owl pellets for one 3rd-5th grade class to dissect during the museum’s Nature’s Food Webs Program.

The video monitor would improve accessibility to the microscope exhibit by allowing visitors who might have difficulty seeing into the lens, to view the slides under magnification on a large screen instead. The video monitor would also offer a view to companions, chaperones, and those waiting their turn at the station.

4' BENCH WITH BACKREST

Please help provide durable seating options for families visiting the Discovery Center in the Muskegon Museum of History & Science. This bench matches the other benches in the Museum of History and Science but features a backrest.

– Replacement of Cedar Shake Roofs for all three buildings
– 10 porch repairs on the Hackley and Hume Houses
– Annual inspections on eight chimneys on all three buildings

JOSEPH & SALINA HACKLEY PORTRAIT AND FRAME CONSERVATION

Originally displayed in the Hackley House Library, money donated to this project will help conserve these recently donated original Hackley family artifacts and continue preservation work throughout the Museum.

HACKLEY STEINWAY RESTRING & TUNING

This beautiful Steinway piano was purchased by Charles Hackley in 1889 and adorned the First Parlor of their home for many years. Money donated for this project will allow for the piano to be professionally restrung and restored along with continuing preservation work throughout the Museum. Any amount donated will help us meet our goal.
