Home School students in grades K – 6 are invited to join us for a 500 year journey on the waterways of Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake as we examine how water transportation has changed. From Native American dugout canoes to modern day Lake Freighters, students will learn about how different modes of transportation were constructed and what they were used for. Participants will also create their own aluminum foil boat to see how many pennies they can transport as cargo. This is a free program; however registration is required, call 231-722-0278.
