Spinners and other fiber artists are invited to join the staff from Michigan’s Heritage Park for a Spinning Meet Up at Unruly Brewing. Since last fall, park staff members have met at various locations throughout the county to practice their spinning skills and share information about spinning with the public. They use a number of spinning techniques including drop spindles, a walking wheel, and traditional treadle wheel. Not only is it an opportunity to learn about the art of spinning, it is also a chance for people to work on other projects such as knitting, crocheting or quilting in a relaxed group environment.
