Purchase a shingle and leave your mark on history in a truly unique way at the upcoming Hackley House Shingle Signing Party!
It’s time to re-roof two iconic Muskegon homes, the Hackley and Hume Houses, built between 1887 and 1889, and we invite you to join the fun! During this free event, guests will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase cedar shake shingles for the Hackley House to pen their name upon, a heartfelt message, or a dedication to a loved one. Shingles will be mapped and photographed for creators during their August installation with the option to have their shingles returned to them in twenty-five years when re-roofing occurs.
Additional evening festivities include live music from local pianist Kathy Casazza, a flavorful menu from Navarro’s Mexican Take Out available for purchase, historic lawn games, and classic brews in the courtyard.
Admission to this event is free. The cost is $62 per shingle.
