Each month at the museum, we will have a specific program dedicated to a different Michigan bloodsucker.
Our March program will be all about leeches. Did you know that leeches are recognized by the FDA as medical devices? Did you know that being a leech collector was once a viable job? Come join staff members of the Lakeshore Museum Center as we delve deep into the natural and cultural history of the Leech. You might be surprised, horrified, and intrigued. This program will be about 30-40, followed by time to explore the exhibit and watch our leeches being fed!
The cost to see this exhibit is included with the price of admission, which is free for museum members and Muskegon County residents and is $5 for out-of-county visitors.
