DESCRIPTION:Tikkun Olam is a Jewish concept that encourages people to think and take action to help heal the world. This concept can be applied in many different ways. For Tikkun Olam\, the museum is collaborating with the Coalition for Community Development\, Health West\, Community Encompass\, and Every Woman’s Place for a panel discussion on social justice issues and the work each organization is doing in Muskegon County. \nThis event is limited to 40 seats in-person. Masks are required for all visitors. DESCRIPTION:*We had a staff member test positive for COVID\, so out of an abundance of caution\, we are canceling tonight’s (1/21/22) Friday Family Fun Night and closing tomorrow\, Saturday\, January 22\, to allow time for a deep clean of the museum. We apologize for any inconvenience and we plan to reopen Monday\, January 24\, at 10 am.* \nThis Friday night is all about the Lumberjacks. Join museum staff to participate in some lumberjack games and activities\, like log balancing\, log sorting\, and a sawing competition. Staff from the Lumberjacks hockey team will also be on hand with a fun hockey activity. So\, put on your best flannel and come downtown for a fun night of hockey and history. \nThis event is free for museum members and Muskegon County residents and $5 for non-residents.
