DESCRIPTION:The Science Center is getting some STEM related additions including a Robotics Corner. We are looking for assistance from youth 10 to 18 who have an interest in STEM programming and robotics. They will work in teams to assemble a robot arm. \nThis is a perfect fit for youth who have always wanted to learn what it takes to make a robot and want to do so. There is a $10 fee to be part of the project. SUMMARY:Wally Berg WWII Exhibit Opens to the Public
DESCRIPTION:River Crossing\nThe exhibit traces the local artist’s wartime journey from Northern Africa to Europe. The war took him to Morocco\, Algeria\, France and many other countries across the globe.  The exhibit includes over 40 drawings and watercolors\, maps\, and military artifacts. Some of the artwork displayed depicts military camps and aircraft\, local people Berg encountered\, and scenery from the cities the artist visited during his time with the Army. The exhibit will be on display through late February.

SUMMARY:Youth History Camp at Michigan's Heritage Park
DESCRIPTION:Youth 7 to 12 years old have an opportunity to become immersed in the world of living history during a week-long camp this summer at Michigan’s Heritage Park in Whitehall. Campers will explore the daily lives of some of Michigan’s earliest residents as they practice prehistoric spear throwing at the Atlatl course and learn how to survive on limited resources as an early settler. They will learn about the lives of lumberjacks at the Logging Shanty and will create their own log mark.  \nThe camp will be held from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and snack. The cost of the week-long camp is $120 for Museum members and $150 for non-members. Six scholarships are available for youth who live in Whitehall and Montague.  \nThe camp registration form\, medical consent form\, and scholarship application can be found on the Museum website under the Program tab.
