DESCRIPTION:This hour and a half program will invite families to explore the museum with activities at a variety of age levels around our monthly theme/topic. \nWe will have time as a large group for an introduction and then families will be welcome to explore the theme stations and the museum on their own. Before families depart\, we will meet again as a large group for one final activity and questions. \nSchedule: \n\n10:00 – 10:15 Check in families/open explore\n10:15 – Big Group Introduction in Auditorium\n10:30-11:15 Theme Stations and independent exploration (There will be at least two; one for older children and one for younger. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.\n\n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for a 15-20 minute organized story time followed by free play.\n\nRegistration via Eventbrite is required but there is no charge for this program. All attendees must register including caregivers & siblings. DESCRIPTION:This hour and a half program will invite families to explore the museum with activities at a variety of age levels around our monthly theme/topic. \nWe will have time as a large group for an introduction and then families will be welcome to explore the theme stations and the museum on their own. Before families depart\, we will meet again as a large group for one final activity and questions. \nSchedule: \n\n10:00 – 10:15 Check in families/open explore\n10:15 – Big Group Introduction in Auditorium\n10:30-11:15 Theme Stations and independent exploration (There will be at least two; one for older children and one for younger. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Lakeshore Museum Center as we talk all things dairy. During this fun filled evening we will be looking at the science and history of making butter and ice cream. We will also be talking about the various dairies that have delivered milk to the citizens of Muskegon County. Country Dairy will also be joining us and bringing the ice cream to try out! \nFree to Muskegon County residents; $5 for non-residents. \nFunding for these programs has been provided by the Michigan Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American RescuePlan (ARP). Also Michigan Arts and Culture Council and National Endowment of the Arts.
