DESCRIPTION:Learn about the habitats of both common and rare Michigan hawks and owls and their importance in our ecosystem.  Four to five birds will be included in the presentation by Kristin Tindall\, Master Naturalist at Blandford Nature Center. Winning Dioramas will be featured on our Facebook page and displayed in the Museum’s Collector’s Corner case! \nAge categories: 12 and under and 13 and older. \nThe event also includes a Peep Hunt throughout the museum from 4 to 6 pm .  Preregistration is encouraged\, please call 231-722-0278. \nContest Details: \n\nThere will be two categories Children (12 and younger) and Adult/Teen (13 and older).\nEach diorama must use Peeps\, chicks or bunnies\, in place of the ‘Peeple’ and Animals.\nDioramas should be no bigger than a copy paper box.  (17” X 11” – 9” tall)\nDioramas will be judged by the Museum Curators between 4 and 5:30pm with the winners being announced at 5:45.  Need not be present to win.  Entries may be dropped off beginning Tuesday\, March 22nd and must be to the museum no later than 5:15pm on March 24th.\nEntries must have a Michigan history theme.
