This teacher development will provide three SCECHs and is free. Participants will tour both museums\, get hands-on with various activities available to students during field trips\, and learn how a visit fits in with Michigan standards. DESCRIPTION:The Lakeshore Museum Center and Muskegon Civic Theatre invite children ages 6-13 to join us for these interactive theatre workshops! Each workshop will be a chance to learn about different behind-the-scenes jobs that are required to put on a show! \nJune 25th – Set and Backdrop Painting\nLearn backdrop painting techniques and learn to create sets and props like we will use in The Jungle Book! \nJuly 9th – Theatre Make-up Techniques\nLearn how to make animals\, bruises and other cool faces! \nAugust 20th – Theatre Tech\nLearn all about controlling theatre lights and sounds with a “Raspberry Pi” controller\, and how technology such 3D printers can be used to make props! \nTickets are $12 for one workshop or sign up for all three for $30! Tickets will be available on Eventbrite starting May 10: Eventbrite Link. Space is limited. Once your child is registered you will be sent a medical consent form to complete.
