Purchase tickets to take part in hands-on experiences throughout the museum including running our Brunswick Pinsetter\, pouring your own cast metal item\, trying your luck in our flight simulator\, and many more! \nFunds raised during the event will help support programs and exhibits at the Muskegon Heritage Museum of Business & Industry. \nSocial District drink cups are welcome in the museum for this special event\, so visit one of the many participating Western Avenue locations for your beverage needs. Soda\, popcorn\, pickles\, and nostalgic candies will be available for purchase in the museum. Our neighbors at Occidental Eats will be selling hotdogs\, ice cream\, and more as well! \nAdmission will be free\, but activity stations will require 2 tickets\, and tickets will cost $2 each. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4.  During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for storytime and free play with themed activities.  Registration via Eventbrite is required but there is no charge for this program.  All attendees must register including caregivers & siblings.  Please check our Facebook Event for updated COVID considerations. \nThis program will run for 50-60 minutes\, 15-20 for an organized storytime\, and the rest for free play and a craft.  During this program\, adults and children will have fun learning through songs\, stories\, sensory stations\, motor skills stations\, art\, and more! \nOur themes for this session will be: \nJan/Feb:  Sound \nMarch/April:  Robots \nMay/June:  Color \nWe will have a free book for families to take home as well as special crafts and activities to do. \nThis program is free.  If after the program you would like to visit the museum galleries\, the admission is free for Muskegon County residents and museum members and $5 for non-residents ages 3 and older. \nRSVPs required. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 90-minute walking tour to exploreMuskegon’s rich history as well as its exciting present! \nTurn of the Century Tour: Take a look at turn-of-the-century Muskegon as we discuss how the city changed after lumbering came to an end\, and what businesses replaced it. This tour will also discuss what life was like for the average Muskegonite. This tour pairs nicely with the Muskegon Museum of Art’s Dressing the Abbey exhibit. \nHistoric Walking Tour: Learn about the past and current uses and occupants of many of Muskegon’s historic businesses and residences. Learn about the McCrackenBuilding\, the story of Charles Hackley’s father\, what life was like for the Spaniola family running a market on Western Avenue\, and other interesting stories about historic downtown Muskegon. \nTurn of the Century Tours will take place 10-11:30 AM and Historic Tours will take place 2-3:30 PM on the following dates: \nJune 17 and 21 \nJuly 1\, 5\, 12\, 22\, and 26 \nAugust 5\, 9\, 19\, and 23 \nSeptember 2 \nTickets are $13 for members of the Lakeshore Museum Center and Muskegon Museum of Art. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 90-minute walking tour to exploreMuskegon’s rich history as well as its exciting present! \nTurn of the Century Tour: Take a look at turn-of-the-century Muskegon as we discuss how the city changed after lumbering came to an end\, and what businesses replaced it. This tour will also discuss what life was like for the average Muskegonite. This tour pairs nicely with the Muskegon Museum of Art’s Dressing the Abbey exhibit. \nHistoric Walking Tour: Learn about the past and current uses and occupants of many of Muskegon’s historic businesses and residences. Learn about the McCrackenBuilding\, the story of Charles Hackley’s father\, what life was like for the Spaniola family running a market on Western Avenue\, and other interesting stories about historic downtown Muskegon. \nTurn of the Century Tours will take place 10-11:30 AM and Historic Tours will take place 2-3:30 PM on the following dates: \nJune 17 and 21 \nJuly 1\, 5\, 12\, 22\, and 26 \nAugust 5\, 9\, 19\, and 23 \nSeptember 2 \nTickets are $13 for members of the Lakeshore Museum Center and Muskegon Museum of Art.
