DESCRIPTION:This hour and a half program will invite families to explore the museum with activities at a variety of age levels around our monthly theme/topic. \nWe will have time as a large group for an introduction and then families will be welcome to explore the theme stations and the museum on their own. Before families depart\, we will meet again as a large group for one final activity and questions. \nSchedule: \n\n10:00 – 10:15 Check in families/open explore\n10:15 – Big Group Introduction in Auditorium\n10:30-11:15 Theme Stations and independent exploration (There will be at least two; one for older children and one for younger. Families will be welcome to do one the other or both.)\n11:15-11:30 One final activity in the Auditorium.\n\nThemes: \n\nJanuary: Animal Tracks & Tracking & How to Be a Citizen Scientist\nFebruary: Blood Suckers\nMarch: March is Reading Month\nApril: Plants and Pollinators\nMay: Lets Learn About Rockhounding\n\nYou must register via Eventbrite for this program: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/muskegon-museum-of-history-and-science-homeschool-days-tickets-503780871147 \nIt is free for Muskegon County Residents & Museum Members. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for a 15-20 minute organized storytime followed by free play. \nRegistration via Eventbrite is required but there is no charge for this program. All attendees must register\, including caregivers & siblings. RSVPs required. Register through Eventbrite at eventbrite.com/e/405310142547. \nThis program will run for 50-60 minutes in total with 15-20 inside and the rest outside\, as weather permits. During this program\, adults and children will have fun learning through songs\, stories\, sensory stations\, motor skills stations\, art\, and more! \nOur themes for this session will be: \nJan/Feb: Texture/Touch \nMarch/April: Time \nMay/June: Bugs \nWe will have a free book for families to take home as well as special crafts and activities to do. \nThis program is free. If after the program you would like to visit the museum galleries\, admission is free for Muskegon County residents and museum members and $5 for non-residents ages 3 and older.

DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for a 15-20 minute organized story time followed by free play. Registration via Eventbrite is required but there is no charge for this program. All attendees must register including caregivers & siblings. \nThis program will run for 50-60 minutes. During this program\, adults and children will have fun learning through songs\, stories\, sensory stations\, motor skills stations\, art\, and more! \nOur themes for this session will be:\nSept/Oct: Dinosaurs\nNov: No Playgroup\nDec: Weather\nJan/Feb: Texture/Touch\nMarch/April: Time\nMay/June: Bugs \nWe will have a free book for families to take home as well as special crafts and activities to do.
