DESCRIPTION:Recycling is important in order to conserve our resources. Learn how to take old paper and make it into new sheets\, as well as how to create your own ink. \nOnce a month we will have a Sign-up Saturday Program. The programs will be more involved than our typical Saturday Program and will allow visitors to gain some history/science knowledge and get hands-on experience with each topic. Recommended for kids 8 years and older due to building and tools used. \nEach program will have 4 time slots\, with each time slot running about 20-30 minutes. SUMMARY:Little Learners: Play & Learn Winter 2024 - Space
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Muskegon Museum of History and Science on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program participants will be invited to join us for a 15-20 minute organized story time followed by free play. Registration via Ticket Tailor is required but there is no charge for this program. All attendees must register including caregivers & siblings. \nThis program will run for 50-60 minutes. During this program adults and children will have fun learning through songs\, stories\, sensory stations\, motor skills stations\, art and more! \nOur themes for this session will be:\nSept/Oct: Opposites\nNov: Mini & Little Read of the Lakeshore\nDec: Winter\nJan/Feb: Space \nWe will have a free book for families to take home as well as special crafts and activities to do. \nRSVPs required. DESCRIPTION:This hour and a half program will invite families to explore the museum with activities at a variety of age levels around our monthly theme/topic. \nWe will have time as a large group for an introduction and then families will be welcome to explore the theme stations and the museum on their own. Before families depart we will meet again as a large group for one final activity and questions. \nEvent Dates: \n9/11\, 10/3\, 11/7\, 12/5\, 1/9\, 2/6\, 3/12\, 4/9\, 5/7 \nSchedule: \n● 10:00-10:15 Check in families/open explore\n● 10:15 Big Group Introduction in Auditorium\n● 10:30-11:15 Theme Stations and independent exploration (There will be at least two; one for older children and one for younger. Families will be welcome to do one the other or both.)\n● 11:15-11:30 One final activity in the Auditorium \nHistoric Sites 484 W.
