DESCRIPTION:Families whose children have ASD\, or sensory disorders\, are invited to attend a special Sensory Saturday event! This is a FREE event where a variety of accommodations have been put into place to create an inclusive\, welcoming\, and safe place for the children and families. Families can visit the museum’s exhibits\, work on a craft\, and have the option to visit a quiet area to relax and unwind. DESCRIPTION:Each month at the museum\, we will have a specific program dedicated to a different Michigan bloodsucker. \nJoin Doctor William Miller from Calvin University as he shares his research into one of the smallest and most dangerous bloodsuckers in Michigan\, ticks. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for a 15-20 minute organized story time followed by free play. \nRegistration via Eventbrite is required but there is no charge for this program. All attendees must register including caregivers & siblings. DESCRIPTION:This hour and a half program will invite families to explore the museum with activities at a variety of age levels around our monthly theme/topic. \nWe will have time as a large group for an introduction and then families will be welcome to explore the theme stations and the museum on their own. Before families depart\, we will meet again as a large group for one final activity and questions. \nSchedule: \n\n10:00 – 10:15 Check in families/open explore\n10:15 – Big Group Introduction in Auditorium\n10:30-11:15 Theme Stations and independent exploration (There will be at least two; one for older children and one for younger.
