DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for a 15-20 minute organized story time followed by free play. \nRegistration via Eventbrite is required but there is no charge for this program. All attendees must register including caregivers & siblings. DESCRIPTION:This hour and a half program will invite families to explore the museum with activities at a variety of age levels around our monthly theme/topic. \nWe will have time as a large group for an introduction and then families will be welcome to explore the theme stations and the museum on their own. Before families depart\, we will meet again as a large group for one final activity and questions. \nSchedule: \n\n10:00 – 10:15 Check in families/open explore\n10:15 – Big Group Introduction in Auditorium\n10:30-11:15 Theme Stations and independent exploration (There will be at least two; one for older children and one for younger. Their visit includes a tour at the Hackley and Hume Historic Site\, Fire Barn Museum\, and the Scolnik House of the Depression Era. Regular admission rates apply for all other visitors. \nMothers will also receive a complimentary gift. \nTours start in the City Barn (carriage house) at the Hackley and Hume Historic Site. \nFree Parking on Webster Ave & 6th Street. \nThis event is free for Muskegon County moms. Other visitors on the day will pay normal admission: \nAdults $15\nSeniors $12\nKids 2-12 $5 \nNo registration is required. Visitors are welcome to walk in during open hours. The last tour leaves at 4:00 pm.

Tours at the Hackley and Hume Historic Site usually take about an hour. \nThe tickets are sold in the City Barn (Carriage House) at the Hackley and Hume Historic Site. \nWith a purchased ticket\, visitors will enjoy a classic Hackley and Hume tour at the site\, the Scolnik House of the Depression Era\, and the Fire Barn Museum. \nNo registration is required. We will be talking about copper oxidation\, and have a $ 2 make-and-take activity making copper cone necklaces\, and more. \nThis event is free for museum members and Muskegon County residents and $5 for non-county residents. \nFunding for these programs has been provided by the Michigan Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP). \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:This 3-day spring break camp is for learners age 8-15 interested in STEM topics.
