SUMMARY:Enviroworks Mini Camp
DESCRIPTION:Enviroworks is a half-day summer camp designed for young learners interested in topics in science and history. Campers get introduced to a topic and then play games\, make a craft\, experiment\, or design something to help better understand the topic. Campers ages 6-11 will explore various topics in small groups of 10 or less children\, mostly outdoors. \nTo register a child: \n1. Register via Eventbrite link (https://enviroworks2021.eventbrite.com) or by calling 722-0278. Cost is $18 for museum members\, $20 for non-members. \n2. After you have registered your child\, then the registration\, medical consent forms will be e-mailed to you. In addition\, you will also receive our Enviroworks policies and procedures in regards to COVID-19. Complete and return the forms to the Museum by Friday\, July 16th. Printed forms will also be available at the museum front desk. \n3. You will be required to answer a few simple screening questions each morning of camp either via Google Forms or at drop off. \nNote: Due to COVID restrictions this program will take place outside and participants are required to wear masks and maintain 6 foot of separation. Please send a water bottle and a snack with your child.

DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a special Play and Learn program at the Lakeshore Museum Center on the fourth Thursday of each month. \n“Little Learners” is a free literacy-based program for Muskegon County infants and toddlers ages 0-4. During this program\, participants will be invited to join us for storytime inside. Then\, we will all go out to play outside. \nRegistration via Eventbrite is required\, but there is no charge for this program: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/little-learners-stem-playgroup-summer-session-tickets-149326843609 \nAll attendees must register including caregivers and siblings. Due to the current restrictions\, we have space for 20 guests (children & adults). *This may change if the COVID requirements change. \nAlso\, in consideration of current health concerns\, we will temp check everyone at the door\, and while inside the museum\, everyone over 2 years of age will need to wear a mask according to our current policy. Outside we kindly ask that adults wear masks\, but children are not required to. \nThis program will run for 50-60 minutes – 15-20 inside\, and the rest outside. During this program adults and children will have fun learning through songs\, stories\, sensory stations\, motor skills stations\, art\, and more\, all with a STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, and Math) theme! \nOur theme for the summer will be WATER! We will have a free book for families to take home\, as well as special crafts and activities to do.
