SUMMARY:Muskegon Heritage Museum 2024 Speaker Series - Muskegon's Industrial Heritage
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this spring speaker series with museum staff that explores different topics from Muskegon’s industrial past. \n4/18: Muskegon’s Industrial Heritage \nMuskegon County has had a unique ability to make and remake itself over the generations. Our one time lumber boomtown has been a maker of many things from furniture to aerospace components. Join us to learn about the transformation and look at the origins of some of the most recognizable of Muskegon’s industries. \nJoin us as we look at a local industry that helped build our community. Emens Brick was located in Holton and their products found their way into buildings like the Amazon as well as other homes and buildings across the Muskegon County and the state. Join us as we take a look at the history of this company. \nThis is a free event. \nREGISTRATION/RSVP INFO: https://app.tickettailor.com/events/lakeshoremuseumcenter/1108145 \nFunding for these programs has been provided by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and National Endowment of the Arts.
