Following the Revolution and the War of 1812\, Michigan’s population would expand and boom alongside the creation of canals\, and became more important with the discovery of mineral resources. Trace the growth of our great mitten state as we check out changes on maps of Michigan over the years. \nFree for members and Muskegon county residents\, $5 for out-of-county. \nThese free family programs are underwritten by: \n \nThis activity is supported by the MICHIGAN ARTS AND CULTURE COUNCIL and the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS. \n
